The Langham in the Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood
The Palm Court is located in The Langham Hotel where we experienced the lovely Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood. This is my favorite tea experience thus far.
Every piece they present is beautiful and delectable. You can taste the fresh ingredients and culinary expertise in both the sweet and savory dishes.
I loved the decor- elegant and calming with themes of pastel pink and green. The central focus of the room is a beautiful fruit tree.
The pianist in the room played passionately while we enjoyed his gift of music while we dine.
We opted for the high tea. The difference between an afternoon versus a high tea experience is that it includes your choice of a savory course each. They were served at the beginning and were unexpectedly flavorful, fresh, and absolutely DELISH.
Desserts were elegantly flavored and every piece has its own distinct flavor.
The scones are the fluffiest I have had and just so filling.
For our anniversary, they presented a stunning pink rose made of chocolate mousse and passionfruit filling. It really satisfies both the chocolate versus fruit dessert lovers.
Service continues to get better as we continue to dine. They frequently check in on us whether we want to try out new teas or have our teapots filled with more hot water. During our seating, we were able to each have three different tea selections.
Between the two of us, we were able to enjoy six different flavors. Every single tea selection was superb and flavorful. My favorite is the Wedgwood Black Tea.
The delicious sandwiches also seem all-you-can-eat because they keep coming around to ask if you want more sandwiches.
Upon departure, they packaged our unfinished items and gave us a parting baked gift beautifully packaged for us to enjoy later.
We are thoroughly impressed with The Langham and recommend anyone to celebrate here or to just enjoy an incredible and memorable tea experience.
Fortnum and Mason
Upon entry of the glorious Fortnum Mason, we were greeted with an amazing selection of teas and biscuits all carefully and thoughtfully designed and packaged.
Climb the stairs to the top or take the elevator to reach their Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon and enjoy Afternoon Tea at Fortnum’s. It is like a secret place above tea shop heaven and reservations through their website is recommended.
We wait in the lobby with the pianist playing as we stare at the menu and see the displays of tea.
The seating area is spacious with many tables with people from all over enjoying their tea time. They serve everything on matching china pieces from the St. James Tea Set and is a beautiful light teal color themed that compliments their entire decor and theme.
Everything looked well-designed, down to their food, and how they delivered them.
We were also ecstatic that if you ever want more of something, you can just ask for more because it is all you can eat!! We were extremely stuffed by the end.
After enjoying a great meal, take the time to peruse each level for great tea and non-tea related gifts.
I always love bringing back my friends and family tea and biscuits from here.Â
Fortnum and Mason make it hard to leave here as you can take all day trying to figure out what to take home because you can’t take it all. Will just need to keep coming back.
The Ritz
The Afternoon Tea at The Ritz London provides a solid London tea experience. Everything that you expect in an afternoon tea is present here. Expensive fancy silverware with The Ritz lion logo sitting on top of the teapot and the fancy tea strainer, to the classic desserts.
You dine in the splendor of all the gold surrounding you on the wall and seats.
The Ritz has a classic and luxurious take on afternoon tea in London.
The Lanesborough
Another opulence-inspired tea experience is the Luxury Afternoon Tea located in The Lanesborough Hotel in the beautiful and intimate Celeste room.
The most luxury we found about this place was the decor of the room with the many chandeliers and Wedgwood style blue and white detailing.
For the high-end tea experience, they use real silverware in all presentations.
While the tea cakes looked creative, I expected more variety and flavor from the food and tea for the price.
This place is recommended if you want to experience their atmosphere and decor rather than for food or service. It is an intimate and quiet space, ideal for some relaxing time in the day.
The Orangery at The Kensington Palace
This is one of my most favorite individually portioned afternoon tea experience. The Orangery has been closed and under renovation. I can only hope that it will continue to be just as amazing as you see below, if not even better once it reopens!
Everything was fresh and flavored brilliantly.
The tea was fragrant and complemented well with every component it came with.
They also served many other dishes besides afternoon tea that were delectable.
Service and atmosphere was very friendly and clean.
The Orangery provided a pleasant and memorable experience in a relaxing environment on the royal grounds. Plan to take a walk around the parks and visit the Kensington Palace the same day.
