Experiences
A museum that showcases Dale Chihuly’s beautiful gallery of amazing glass pieces and large masterpieces that have been intricately blown, designed, and curated. I was pleasantly surprised by what this glass experience can provide indoors and outdoors.
This feels like the heartbeat of Downtown Seattle where one can find a concentration of all things local and fantastic. My eyes gleam over the rows of fresh flowers and salmon jerky displayed. Numerous vendors show off what they have to offer to locals and tourists alike. You will realize that there are many things to see here if you just take your time to meander and taste your way through the stalls. There are food and other goods to purchase here. This is also where the famous Pike Fish Market is located.
Go up top and scoping out the beautiful 360 degree scenery Seattle has to share. You can purchase different ticket options that you can bundle with additional experiences. I love being able to visit twice to see it during the day, and then at night. Each visit provides a different experience. They provide a free photograph if you wait in line to take your photo with the city scape behind you as a souvenir.
Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Tasting
For Starbucks and caffeine connoisseurs, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery is a creative and well designed open space to meet up with friends and experience higher quality of beans and drinks that is only available through Starbucks Reserve.
They’ve got interesting displays of how they roast coffee beans with a trendy vibe that is relaxing.
A nice stop to rest with a quality beverage or to just take a look around. It is only nine blocks away from the original Starbucks near Pike Place Market that opened in 1971.
Bill Spiedel’s Underground Tour
A fascinating and eye-opening underground tour of what was once a part of Seattle that had burned down in 1889. Seattle built over the old ruins but it is still accessible through these walking tours. A popular tour, so book in advance to secure your time to venture through these old underground passageways and for a better understanding of how Seattle began!
On a clear day, take a fabulous and an hour Harbor Cruise experience to see another perspective of Seattle by water. Prebook online for a possible discount during their promotion. This cruise is also included in the CityPASS and requires you to redeem tickets at the kiosk with this option.
This museum houses changing exhibitions that exemplify anything related to pop culture. Check to see what they have at the time. I went during the Hello Kitty exhibition and loved it! They have different themes on display at a time so there are many things to see. I don’t find this to be an average museum so it is a worthy visit if you are interested in what they are showcasing.
Seattle has lots to offer with its balance in culture and nature.
