The General Kyoto Shijyo Shinmachi
There are two branches in the area. The other is in Bukkoji. We opted to stay at the Shijuo Shimachi branch. It is close to the major shopping streets, historic sites, and transit station.

We stayed here for a night to stay close to the historic areas and temples and explore the Higashiyama district.
They offer high-quality amenities.
Their restaurant has delicious meals.
Staying here lets us sneak out early and late to try to catch a glimpse of the famous streets with fewer crowds.
